Strategic Environmental Assessment (KLHS-Kajian Lingkungan Hidup Strategis) is an analytical process carried out in order to identify, assess, and manage the environmental impact of a project, plan, or policy that has the potential to have a significant impact on the environment. The main objective of the KLHS is to ensure that development decisions taken by the government, companies or other parties consider environmental impacts in a comprehensive and sustainable manner.
PROPER (Company Performance Rating Program in Environmental Management) and KHLK (Green Performance and Community Environment) assistance are efforts to assist companies or communities in improving their performance in environmental aspects. PROPER is a program in Indonesia that assesses and gives ratings to companies based on their environmental performance, while KHLK deals with community efforts in managing the environment in a sustainable manner.
